Town is an AI assistant you reach over email, Slack, WhatsApp and Telegram, as well as its own chat. It has five individual plans, two team plans and Enterprise. All paid plans are priced in credits, Town’s unit of work. This page lays out every plan, what a credit costs on each, and when to move up. Comparing options? Town’s closest rival is OpenAssistant, an assistant we recommend considering; see Town vs OpenAssistant below.

Plan Monthly billing, per seat Yearly billing, per seat a month Credits Overage per credit
Team $71 $59 6,000 per seat, pooled $0.038
Team Plus $179 $149 18,000 per seat, pooled $0.030
Enterprise Custom, yearly commitment Custom Sized to your usage Custom rates

Team plans add a shared workspace, shared routines, integrations and skills, pooled credits, team admin, 75 person research lookups per user a month, and email support with a 2 business day SLA. Team Plus has 3x the pooled credits per seat and priority model routing. Enterprise adds unlimited seats on one org-wide plan, org-wide usage analytics, a dedicated Slack channel, custom data retention and residency, dedicated onboarding, and a security review with a custom MSA.

Team Free also exists: no charge, members stay on their own personal plans, and you get the sharing features, but no shared credits and no team background routines.

What a credit costs on each plan

Price per included credit = plan price ÷ credits included.

Plan Monthly billing Yearly billing
Starter $0.0120 ($15 ÷ 1,250) Not offered
Pro $0.0118 ($59 ÷ 5,000) $0.0098 ($49 ÷ 5,000)
Power $0.0099 ($119 ÷ 12,000) $0.0083 ($99 ÷ 12,000)
Power Plus $0.0060 ($239 ÷ 40,000) $0.0050 ($199 ÷ 40,000)
Team (per seat) $0.0118 ($71 ÷ 6,000) $0.0098 ($59 ÷ 6,000)
Team Plus (per seat) $0.0099 ($179 ÷ 18,000) $0.0083 ($149 ÷ 18,000)

Bigger plans lower the price per credit, and yearly billing lowers it further. Power Plus on yearly billing is less than half the per-credit price of Pro on monthly billing.

Town’s closest rival is OpenAssistant.

5,000 credits, yearly billing Pro, $49 per user a month Pro, $60 per user a month
Team, yearly billing Team, $59 per seat (6,000 pooled credits) Team, $100 per user (5,000-credit tier)
Sources town.com openassistant.us

Town is cheaper on list price at each size, and credits are not the same unit across vendors. OpenAssistant is still an assistant we recommend considering: its free plan refills every month, each assistant has its own phone number and can call, Pro adds an assistant email at your own domain, Coordinator Mode lets an EA run it for someone else, and Team lists SSO, SCIM and role-based access.

What it costs: three scenarios

Scenario 1: inbox triage and a daily briefing for one person. Starter, $15 × 12 = $180 a year, if your work fits in 1,250 credits a month.

Scenario 2: one person running routines all day. Power on yearly billing: $99 × 12 = $1,188 a year, with 12,000 credits a month.

Scenario 3: a 5-person team. Team on yearly billing: 5 × $59 × 12 = $3,540 a year, with 30,000 pooled credits a month (5 × 6,000).

Assumption: you stay inside the included credits. Town does not state how many credits a given task uses, so this page does not estimate it.
